U11 & U9 Face Off Rule Change - Effective Immediately
by posted 05/11/2010

PYLL Member Programs

In our Mid Season Coaches Meeting the following rule change was adopted.

Effective immediately the players positioned on the GLE will be released on the Refs whistle starting the face off at the U9 and U11 levels

Players on the wings for the face should continue to be on the "rake side" of their teammate at the X, and opposite their opponent.

This is on a trial basis and if the group considers this a positive change it will be taken up for an official vote into the PYLL League rules.

Standings for Patriot Cup Playoff Seedings Info
by posted 04/12/2010

PYLL Member Programs

This year scores will be recorded and standings kept to develop our tournament seeding for the year end playoffs. What to know as the regular season begins this weekend.

  •     The Icebreaker Tournament results are not included
  •     All regular season games on Sundays will count and be used
  •     Midweek games are different for all programs and these results  WILL NOT be used.

Coaches please make sure you let your referee's know that you are keeping score and get any final's from them post game. Please report these to your program's key contact so we can record them as a league.

Tie Breakers - To keep things simple and not complicate game strategies the only tie breaker for regular season play to be used will be head to head competition. After that it will be team names in a hat and drawn at PYLL BOD Meeting.

Thanks and have a great season,

The PYLL BOD
